Guelph Public Library Moves to Curbside Pickup in Response to Provincial COVID-19 Lockdown
In response to the Ontario Government’s COVID-19 province-wide lockdown, the Guelph Public Library will be temporarily closing all Guelph Public Library locations to the public effective Saturday, December 26, 2020.
Any items on hold will still be available when all library locations re-open for Curbside Pickup on Monday, December 28 at 10 a.m.
Curbside Pickup at all library locations will be offered on a drop-in basis, Monday to Thursday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., plus Friday to Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and at the Main Library only on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Note: All branches will be closed on Sunday except the Main Library.
How to Use Library Curbside Pickup:
- Place holds on library materials through the library's catalogue or phone library staff at 519-824-6220 for help choosing materials. Walk ups to each library location will also be accepted. Please limit your holds to one library card per family to ensure the health and safety of library staff and customers.
- You will be notified when your items are ready either through email, text or a phone call depending on your library account setup. No appointment is required to pick up your holds.
- To pick up your reserved items, drop by the library during curbside pickup hours. Wait in the designated spots by the library entrance. Please have your library card ready to be shown. A due date receipt will be included with your items. All materials are checked out for their regular loan periods.
Online access to the library's virtual services and programs remains accessible at www.guelphpl.ca.
