Today’s Provincial announcement placed Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health region and the City of Guelph into the Red (Control) Level. Guelph Public Library locations will re-open to the public on Wednesday, February 17 for regular hours starting at 9 a.m. with the exception of our Scottdale Branch which will be available for Curbside Pickup Only. Note: Curbside services will be available at all locations on Tuesday, February 16.

What we're asking you to do:
  • Do not enter the library if you currently have or recently had a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or are feeling unwell.
  • Keep your hands clean. Hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the library and should be used upon entry to the library.
  • Maintain at least 2 metres of distance from others.
  • Wear a face covering over your nose and mouth while inside the library.
  • Follow all directional signs and floor markings.
  • No eating or drinking within the library.
  • Limit your time in the library and minimize touching of materials and surfaces.
Additional restrictions at all library locations include a 30-minute time limit at all computer stations. Plus, as of February 17, 2021, all library locations will begin quarantining library materials for 24-hours which means significantly reduced wait times for holds. For you, this change means a better library experience - you won’t have to wait as long for library materials - while maintaining everyone’s health and safety.

Curbside Pickup at the Scottsdale Branch will continue to be offered on a drop by basis, Mondays to Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., plus Fridays and Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. This location will be closed on Sundays.

Need a library card? Guelph residents can register for virtual library cards through the library's catalogue to access curbside pickup.

Be sure to check the Library's website frequently for any COVID-19 service updates. Enjoy reading, watching, listening and loving your Guelph Public Library items while remaining safe and healthy!
