Library services modified during the Canada Post strike
As the Canada Post strike continues, some Guelph Public Library services have been modified or paused until service resumes, including donations made by mail, Interlibrary Loan program, physical accessible materials from the CELA Library and letters to Santa.
Borrowing from another library
Interlibrary Loan requests are temporarily suspended during the strike. Please reserve requests until service resumes. Requests in progress before the strike will be delayed. If you have questions, please call 519-824-6220 or email illo@guelphpl.ca.
Making a donation
We continue to accept donations, however, those made by mail will be delayed until service resumes. You can make donations online so they’re received right away at www.guelphpl.ca/donate.
Signing out physical materials from the CELA Library
CELA (Centre for Equitable Library Access) has paused all production and distribution of physical materials, including audiobooks CDs, embossed braille, and printbraille. CELA's digital services remain unaffected by the strike. We have a small deposit collection of CELA DAISY discs available to borrow, as well as books in other accessible formats such as playaways, books on CD, and eBooks and eAudiobooks through CloudLibrary. Contact us to learn more about accessing CELA's digital services or other accessible formats at the library.
