ETCH 2025 Celebrates Guelph’s Young Literary Voices
June 2, 2025 - Guelph, ON – Celebrate the creative talents of Guelph’s youth at the Teen ETCH 2025 Anthology Book Launch. Join the Guelph Public Library (GPL) on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Main Library (100 Norfolk Street) for an afternoon of literature, inspiration, and celebration.
This year’s anthology features original poetry and short stories written by teens in grades 7 through 12, centered around the theme “Reflections.” The annual Teen ETCH Creative Writing Contest encourages young writers to express their thoughts and explore their voices in a welcoming and creative space.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet local authors, enjoy light refreshments, and be the first to hear the announcement of the 2025 contest winners.
“The Guelph Public Library sincerely appreciates the partnership of the Vocamus Writers Community,” says Meg Forestell-Page, Manager of Public Service at GPL. Their ongoing support helps make this incredible annual event possible. The Library also extends a special thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Guelph for their generous support and monetary donation, which contributed to the prizes for the Teen ETCH authors and the event launch party.”
Copies of ETCH 2025 will be available for purchase at the event for $20 each or two for $30.
