2020 Guelph Public Library Annual Report
2020 was a year unlike no other but we don’t have to tell you that! When “essential services” took on new importance, the Guelph Public Library provided ways for the community to stay healthy with a variety of online opportunities and support services while remaining an important social connector.
Did you know that in 2020 over 1.4 million items were circulated, 3,308 people used the library’s website daily and 338,850 (+71%) eBooks and eAudiobooks were checked out? The Library introduced 451 virtual programs with 9,029 people in attendance, new grab-and-go collections were available during curbside pickup, and supportive technology allowed people to attend court virtually. The Westminster Square Branch Makerspace opened its doors in early February and helped to create personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies when there was a shortage. It was a challenging year for all but your Guelph Public Library is here to help.
Enjoy reading our 2020 Annual Report. Thank you for your continued support and sharing your library stories.
