Guelph Public Library Fosters a Connected Community

The Guelph Public Library is honoured to have been awarded a $15,000 Guelph Community Foundation grant supported by the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund.
With this funding, the Library has purchased 42 more wireless hotspots to ensure our community can remain connected and supported with portable internet access. These devices help workers and families to have the freedom to use the internet at home or on the go.

Guelph Public Library Moves to Curbside Pickup in Response to Provincial COVID-19 Lockdown

In response to the Ontario Government’s COVID-19 province-wide lockdown, the Guelph Public Library will be temporarily closing all Guelph Public Library locations to the public effective Saturday, December 26, 2020.
Any items on hold will still be available when all library locations re-open for Curbside Pickup on Monday, December 28 at 10 a.m .

It’s a green light for new central library, South End Community Centre

City Council has voted tonight in favour of moving two city-building projects forward that will see Guelph’s historic downtown get a new central library and the south end its first community centre.
Council voted 8 to 5 in favour of the  Baker District alternative option , 8 to 5 in favour of the construction of an 88,000-square-foot library, and 12 to 1 in support of the new  South End Community Centre .
