The Guelph Public Library offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities, and each position requires different skills and availability.What is the time commitment?
The volunteer programs at Guelph Public Library have varying time commitments. We tailor your volunteer acts around your schedule and time.How old do I have to be to volunteer?
We offer opportunities for three age groups:
- Volunteer opportunities for youth in grades 7-12
- Volunteer opportunities for adults (18 and over)
- Volunteer opportunities for families including youth in grades 7-12
Currently, we are accepting applications for the following volunteer programs.
Please take note of volunteer program age groups:
Y = Youth in grades 7-12
A = Adults 18 and over
F = Families, including youth in grades 7-12
Help with programs that teach Microsoft Office, the internet and social media. Basic computer skills required. (A, Y)
Support the Guelph Public Library with various activities to raise funds. (A, F, Y)
Perform various tasks such as helping presenters, greeting, and directing attendees. (A, F, Y)
Customer Satisfaction Surveys
Conduct patron surveys to help the library better understand the community's needs. (A)
Delivery to the Homebound
Deliver library items to patrons with disabilities. (A)
