Volunteer

The Guelph Public Library offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities, and each position requires different skills and availability. The volunteer programs at Guelph Public Library have varying time commitments.

We offer opportunities for the following age groups:

  • Y = Youth in grades 7-12
  • A = Adults 18 and over
  • F = Families, including youth in grades 7-12

Volunteer Opportunities

Currently, we are accepting applications for the following volunteer programs.

Computer Literacy

Support library technology programs, answer basic computer questions, teach social media skills. (A, Y)

Fundraising

Support the Guelph Public Library with various activities to raise funds. (A, F, Y)

Special Events

Perform various tasks such as helping presenters, greeting, and directing attendees. (A, F, Y)

Customer Satisfaction Surveys

Conduct patron surveys to help the library better understand the community's needs. (A)

Visiting Library Service

Deliver library material to Guelph residents who are unable to visit the library due to health or mobility challenges. (A)
