In-library use

Internet computers

All locations have internet computers that can be accessed with a valid Guelph Public Library card. Visitors can use these computers with a visitor's pass. These computers have Microsoft office 2019, USB slots, and the ability to print. 

Catalogue computers

All locations have catalogue computers that can be used to search for library materials.

Laptops

The Main Library has laptops and Chromebooks. These laptops can be checked out at the Circulation desk with a valid Guelph Public Library card. You may borrow the laptops for 2 hours per day.

Tablets

All branches have tablets for in-library use. Tablets may be loaned with a valid Guelph Public Library card, and are loaned for 2 hours per day.

Printers and scanners

Printing is available at all Guelph Public Library locations. The Main Library has a scanning station set up for public use. For more information on these services check out the Printing and Copying page.

Microfilm

The Main Library has microfilm machines available to the public. For more information on these machines go to our Archives page.

Loanable devices

WiFi Hotspots

You may borrow a Netgear WiFi hotspot or Samsung Galaxy Tab from any location to connect multiple devices to the Internet wherever you go. Hotspots may be borrowed for 1 week.

Accessible Computers

Screen magnification, text narration, and an on-screen keyboard are available on all public computers. There is a large print keyboard and trackball mouse available for use at each library location.
