Borrow From Another Library
Didn't find what you were looking for in our catalogue?
The Guelph Public Library welcomes your requests! We can borrow items from other libraries for you through Interlibrary Loan.
- Before requesting an Interlibrary Loan, check the Guelph Public Library catalogue. If we have the title you are looking for, please place a request through our catalogue.
- For items published within the last year, please Suggest a Purchase as most libraries will not lend out new material through Interlibrary Loan.
- There is a limit of 3 items that can be requested through Interlibrary Loan at one time.
How can I request an item through Interlibrary Loan?
Items can be requested in person at any library location, by calling your nearest library or by completing the Interlibrary Loan request form.
*Interlibrary loan requests can take anywhere from four to six weeks (or more) to arrive.
*The Interlibrary loans self serve portal has been temporarily removed while we prepare for a new interlibrary loan system. If you already have a self-serve account you can continue to access the Zportal as normal. No new self-serve illo accounts will be created until the new system is operational. We expect the new system to be operational in late fall- early winter 2024.
