All Internet terminals in the Children's Department and selected terminals at both Scottsdale and Bullfrog branches make use of filtering software. The terminals in the Children's department are intended for the use of children accompanied by their parent or guardian.
In order to introduce children to all the library has to offer, we provide tours to school, daycare, and community groups. Depending on the age of the children, programs usually consist of a tour of the library and its various collections and services, as well as a short storytime. Older groups are offered instruction on the use of our popular online catalogue and databases. To book a tour, please contact Andrea Curtis by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 519-824-6220 x 263.
The Children's Department provides a selection of toys and games for use in the library. From toy dinosaurs, a train table, and a bead activity table for toddlers, to board and card games for older children, there is something for everyone. We also offer couches for families to curl-up and read together, and we offer a selection of both children's and adult leisure periodicals for use in the library or to take home.
