Planning for the new Central Library Makerspace is underway! From now until July 3, take our online survey or visit any branch for a paper copy to share your vision for our second Makerspace.
Whether you’re an regular Makerspace user, or you’ve never visited, we want to hear from everyone. Help us understand:
- Creative interests in our community
- Tools you’d like to use and skills you’d like to develop
- Barriers to access that prevent you from using our spaces and tools
- Ways to communicate and reach new audiences
Your feedback will be used to develop programs and services in our second space, while also considering what tools can be added.
About the Makerspace
The Makerspace, located at Westminster Square Branch, allows makers to discover, experiment, and create in a hands-on learning environment with 3D printers, embroidery, laser cutting, sewing, audio and video recording studios, digitization, gaming, and more. Makerspace staff help makers acquire new skills and knowledge, cultivate creativity, and foster new levels of technological literacy in an inclusive, curiosity-focused community space. Makerspace equipment and services are free to the public by appointment only.
