New printing process and fees begin September 9

Guelph Public Library will switch printing providers on Wednesday, September 9 in addition to an increase in printing and copying fees.

There will be two ways to print wirelessly: From a web browser using the list of available printers at guelphpl.ca/printing or from the Princh digital app available to Android or Apple users.

Service disruptions for printing and copying should be expected throughout the day as we change our software. Please be patient with our staff as they help everyone through a brand new process.

What’s changing

  • New printing instructions will be available the day of launch at guelphpl.ca/printing.
  • You need your four-digital print ID to release your prints when you get to the printer. Our team won’t be able to give you this code if you lose it, which means printing it again.
  • Once a printer has been selected and a job is sent, we cannot reroute your prints to another printer

New printing fees and payment options

Online payments will be accepted in browser and using the app for debit, credit, or digital wallet. If you’re paying in person, you must visit a service desk to pay cash, debit, credit, or digital wallet. Coin boxes will no longer be available at the printers.

Printing and copying prices will increase to the following:

  • Black and white, letter 8.5 x 11 inches, $0.20 cents
  • Black and white, legal 8.5 x 14 inches, $0.25 cents
  • Black and white, ledger 11 x 17 inches, $0.40 cents
  • Colour, letter 8.5 x 11 inches, $0.40 cents
  • Colour, legal 8.5 x 14 inches, $0.50 cents
  • Colour, ledger 11 x 17 inches, $0.80 cents

Ledger prints are only available at the Main Library.
