Scottsdale Branch updates underway to improve accessibility, patron experience

Branch renovations are underway at Guelph Public Library’s Scottsdale Branch that will improve accessible features for all patrons.

The accessible washroom is currently closed until April 7 while new accessible features are installed including grab bars, coat hooks, power door operator, and emergency call button and string system. Power cables have been rerouted from the floor to the ceiling to minimize tripping hazards and make the floors more accessible for wheelchair users. At the end of April, the branch’s main circulation desk will be replaced with a new desk that improves access for patrons who are sitting or standing.

While disruptions to services will be minimal, patrons should expect a bit of noise throughout the month of April. If you need an alternative quiet location, check out alternative branch locations online.
